THE GAMECLAIMWATCH APPROACH

Privacy.

Privacy information for the current website implementation.

Your choices.

The current site does not require an account and does not store game-store credentials. Region selection is manual and appears in the page address; we do not request device location.

Your local claim marks.

“I’ve claimed it” marks are saved only in this browser until you undo them or clear the site’s local storage. Preview marks and real-site marks are separate. There is no account or cross-device synchronization.

Basic usage events.

When enabled, an official-store link click can send a random event identifier, page path, short-lived random session identifier and timestamp to the central service. A click is not a successful claim. Requests may be subject to server-side abuse controls.

Corrections and external sites.

A submitted correction contains your message, the article identifier and version, and optional contact information. Official-store links take you to another website with its own privacy policy.

Local abuse controls and retries.

The frontend keeps a hash of the request IP address and a rate counter for up to one minute. Correction retry records contain a request identifier, a hash of the submission and the central acknowledgement for up to 24 hours; they prevent repeated forwarding of the same report. Expired records are removed on the next request or scheduled cleanup. The central service stores the submitted correction separately from these temporary retry records.

Contact and correction records.

Correction messages and optional contact details are stored by our central editorial service. Reports older than 180 days are eligible for automatic cleanup by the central service. Cleanup runs periodically rather than immediately at the retention boundary. To ask about a report or request deletion, contact support@gameclaimwatch.com.
